JACKSON, Tenn. — West Tennessee Healthcare hosts a special dedication and tour of their brand-new centralized monitoring unit and eICU, a first for their system and a major step forward in patient safety and innovation.
This cutting-edge technology provides a second set of eyes for both nurses and patients, enhancing safety, communication, and care across our WTH hospitals. This was the opportunity to come see first hand how this system is transforming the way we monitor and support our patients in real time.
“It provides an opportunity for improving our patient safety. It gives an extra set of eyes for the patients, that somebody else is there that can see what is going on with that patient, and help to identify issues, problems, or concerns early to prevent those from becoming larger problems,” said Damon Mays, vice president of operations for West Tennessee Healthcare.
The centralized monitoring unit and eICU is located at 253 Bancorpsouth Parkway here in Jackson.
