MARSHALL, Texas. (KTAL/KMSS) – Texas State Technical College’s Marshall campus welcomed its first 32 Building Construction students on September 22, all pursuing certificates of completion, according to a news release.
Building Construction Technology program coming to TSTC’s Marshall campus
Students include Elijah Murray of Longview, who hopes to build his own home; Anniver Tengeg, a scholarship recipient aiming to use his skills for missionary work; and Robert Williams, a U.S. Navy veteran returning to Marshall to pursue construction after repairing his own home.
The program offers new career opportunities in a field projected to grow 13% in Texas by 2032, with a median salary of $73,420 for first-line supervisors of construction trades, according to a news release.
