Trump to head all-star roster at Miami business conference

President Donald Trump will be taking center stage next month to headline a pricey, all-star-laden business conference at the Kaseya Center in downtown Miami.

Trump appears to be the latest signee for the America Business Forum, a gathering that is reportedly making its first appearance in the United States after multiple years in Uruguay. Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, known for his aggressive promotion of the city across international spectrums of finance and technology, is listed as the conference board leader.

“President Trump has been one of the most consequential political and business leaders of our time,” the mayor said in a statement. “His perspective on leadership, global business, and America’s role in the world will be a defining part of this year’s Forum. We are honored to welcome him to Miami.”

Trump’s appearance will take place one year after his election to a second term as president. The venue is across Biscayne Boulevard from Freedom Tower, and adjacent to land that recently was placed under control of the Trump family by Gov.  Ron DeSantis and his Cabinet for a Trump presidential library.

Hefty ticket prices

The admission prices to the business forum are steep. “Early bird” tickets purchased by Oct. 20 range from $250 to $1,990, depending on one’s station in the corporate world, according to the conference website. After that, the price range rises to $890 for “first-time participants” to $4,290 for c-level executives. The latter will get access to front row seats at the arena, which is the home of the NBA’s Miami Heat.

The conference website projects attendance of 30,000 for the two-day affair, which is scheduled to conclude on Nov. 6.

“Experience one-on-one interviews with some of the most influential leaders of our time,” the forum’s website urges. “From CEOs of Fortune 100 companies to global sports and entertainment icons, ABF Miami offers exclusive conversations that inspire, challenge, and connect.”

The conference roster is peppered with financial, sports and entertainment luminaries ranging from Citadel founder Ken Griffin and JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, to actor-producer Will Smith and global pro soccer superstar (and Fort Lauderdale homeowner) Lionel Messi of Inter-Miami.

Other powerhouse names from the sports world include Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali and FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Events driven by both organizations have drawn thousands of spectators to the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

Retired international tennis champion Rafael Nadal of Spain and Eric Schmidt, former chairman and CEO of Google, are also on the speakers list.
