DENVER (KDVR) — The popular dating show “Love Is Blind” is airing its season in Denver on Wednesday, and some of the local cast members are already talking about the experience.
The premise of “Love Is Blind” is to date someone without seeing them, where dozens of local singles join the show to find love by dating people through a wall. If all goes well, one person proposes, the engaged couple sees each other for the first time, and they spend time together before heading to the altar.
What to know: ‘Love is Blind’ season in Denver airs on Oct. 1
While the season in Denver has yet to air, cast members Jordan Keltner and Blake Anderson sat down with CW2’s Chris Parente before the show premiered and spoke about what the experience was like dating someone behind a wall.

What it’s like dating on ‘Love Is Blind’
“Love Is Blind” started casting in 2023, where they eventually landed on Keltner and Anderson to be part of the group of singles to go into the “pods,” where the cast dates people behind a wall.
Keltner, who used to live in Lower Downtown and now lives south in the suburbs, said he just got tired of swiping on dating apps and joined the show to be more international. Meanwhile, Anderson, who lived in the Berkeley neighborhood and now lives in the Virginia Village neighborhood, thought the upside of the show, no matter how unconventional, was worth it.
“Going into the experiment, I know it was going to be a really strange, wild experience, and I think it was really difficult, but if you’re able to put that aside, the upside is you walk out with your future spouse. I think that upside was really exciting, and I figured, why not give it a shot,” said Anderson.
While they were never able to see who they were dating throughout the beginning of the experience, Keltner said this style of dating made more sense to him.
“This makes more sense than just going on a traditional date because, you know, you’re just removing the appeal of someone’s appearance and you really just get to dive into what truly matters when you take away looks,” said Keltner.

Keltner said he learned how he could focus on someone’s laugh and how they word their sentences, rather than being blinded by someone’s looks.
Anderson said it was just like talking to someone on speaker phone, and while he couldn’t see them, he still went on great first dates.
“I think one takeaway I had from the pods, the energy, obviously, you can’t see the other person, but the energy comes through in conversation. I think the best first dates I had in the pods it was when kind of the energy on the other side of the wall, you could feel it,” said Anderson.
While the cast members couldn’t give away any details for the upcoming season, the show kicks off every Wednesday on Netflix, where you can watch Denver residents find out if love is truly blind.
