Intricon and Minnetronix Medical have merged to form Forj Medical, a new medtech contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO).
Headquartered in Arden Hills, Minnesota, Forj Medical provides end-to-end capabilities, spanning from product concept to commercial-scale manufacturing. The company said its combined expertise in system design, microelectronics, precision molding and advanced manufacturing will help medical device makers bring complex technologies to market faster.
“Forj Medical is uniquely equipped to meet the evolving needs of medical device OEMs,” said Jeremy Maniak, former Minnetronix CEO and now CEO of Forj Medical. “By combining deep expertise in system and component design, microelectronics, precision molding, and automation, we’re enabling our customers to bring life-changing technologies to market faster and more efficiently.”

The new company operates six facilities across the U.S., Indonesia, Singapore and Costa Rica. Forj Medical said its global footprint and integrated capabilities will support medical device customers in markets such as diabetes, surgical energy, vascular disease, drug delivery and surgical navigation.

Mauricio Arellano, a veteran medical device industry executive, was named executive chair.
