Interstate 275 will close again soon through Knoxville.
Closures for the major construction project have been mostly limited to weekends to avoid disrupting commutes. Lanes were closed at various times to allow crews to work.
Now, I-275 will completely close again at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 and will reopen by 6 a.m. Sept. 29.
Drivers should plan to use the alternate route of I-40 and I-640 to bypass the construction zone.

This will be the final closure of I-275 for this construction project. I-275 was previously closed on the weekends of July 11, July 18 and Aug. 3 for the same project.
