LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — Over 40 employees from HCA Healthcare’s South Atlantic Division and Trident, Summerville, and Colleton hospitals donated $70,000 to the Lowcountry Food Bank Saturday.
The group served at the food bank for two hours, sorting over 15,000 pounds of food to help facilitate the delivery of 35,000 meals to seniors experiencing food insecurity in 10 coastal South Carolina counties.
“The generous contribution from HCA Healthcare will allow us to provide fresh produce alongside monthly CSFP boxes for seniors across our community,” said Nick Osborne, President & CEO of the Lowcountry Food Bank.
