EVE Energy Forges Key Partnership for European Energy Storage

by Linda

EVE Energy announced it signed a 500 megawatt-hour (MWh) strategic cooperation agreement with Polish smart photovoltaic (PV) system integrator CommVOLT Sp. z o.o. at the Solar & Storage Live UK 2025 exhibition, held from September 23 to 25.

The deal aims to expedite the deployment of commercial and industrial Energy Storage Systems (ESS) in Central and Eastern Europe. The companies plan to establish benchmark storage projects in the region to improve grid stability and enhance the integration of renewable energy, according to a press release from EVE Energy.

The agreement comes as Europe is seeing a surge in renewable energy adoption, making grid-side storage a critical component for stabilizing electricity supply. EVE Energy, which has pioneered the 628 ampere-hour (Ah) ultra-high capacity storage battery, stated the partnership validates the market competitiveness of its innovative storage technology.

The company’s advanced battery cells are designed to simplify system integration, reduce heat generation, and improve the overall lifecycle cost of the energy storage systems. Its large-scale DC energy storage system, marketed as Mr.Giant, which uses the large-format cells, was recently deployed in a 400 MWh-level independent energy storage project in China.

Shipments of EVE’s large batteries and systems to Australia and Europe have commenced, marking the start of global applications for the company’s new product line.

The increasing focus on large-scale batteries by manufacturers like EVE Energy reflects a wider industry trend toward higher capacity cells, which can lower manufacturing and operational costs in utility-scale and large commercial projects. This shift is crucial for the economic viability of energy storage necessary to support the transition from fossil fuels to intermittent renewable sources like solar and wind power.

In addition to the CommVOLT agreement, EVE Energy used the UK exhibition to present a full range of storage solutions tailored to European scenarios, including those for utility, commercial and industrial, telecom, and residential applications. The company stated it is committed to providing reliable and cost-effective energy storage products to contribute to a low-carbon global energy system. The strategic cooperation with CommVOLT is positioned as a practical example of EVE Energy sharing technological achievements with global partners to advance green development.
