Capstone Building Corp., a general contractor based in Birmingham, has started construction on a new luxury senior community at 2900 Cahaba Road in Mountain Brook.
Demolition and site preparation began in mid-September 2025, with completion anticipated by October 2027. The community will offer a continuum of care, including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care, within a multi-story complex.
The development will feature 162 apartment residences across nearly 236,000 square feet, with an additional 52,000 square feet for parking and amenities.
The building will include non-combustible light gauge metal framing above a structured underground parking level, providing approximately 120 parking spaces.
