BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) – Bluefield Economic Development Director Sam Wolford expects a long-delayed manufacturing facility will open next year.

Wolford told WVVA that he believes Omnis Building Technologies will begin receiving equipment, complete construction and begin hiring later this year and will begin manufacturing in 2026.

Omnis Building Technologies plans to building housing materials at a manufacturing facility near the intersection of John Nash Boulevard and Interstate 77.

Receiving equipment is a significant milestone, Wolford added.

“This really is a critical milestone for them because it will allow them to complete the construction of the facility and completely move their process, their manufacturing process forward,” Wolford said.

Omnis announced plans to build the Bluefield facility in 2022 with plans to begin manufacturing in 2023. However the company has pushed its production date back several times.
