South Highway 52 detour changes as construction continues – ABC 6 News

by Linda

(ABC 6 News) – Continued work on the Highway 52/Interstate 90 interchange will shift traffic onto newly paved lanes starting Tuesday, October 7th.

Traffic on southbound Highway 52 will shift to the west onto newly paved lanes. Motorists will also use a new temporary exit to access the eastbound I-90 on-ramp.

With these changes in place, MnDOT crews will continue to work on the ramps on the south side of I-90. Highway 52 in both directions at Marion remains detoured though.

Motorists going west on I-90 will still be able to exit onto northbound Highway 52 during this time. Southbound Highway 52 motorists will also still be able to use the westbound I-90 on-ramp. I-90 will also remain open in both directions.

The Highway 52 detour is expected to be removed for the winter by November 14th. New detours will start in the Spring as construction on the project continues.
