The Chubby Chipmunk update has finally arrived in Grow a Garden and has introduced a new gear into the game. It’s called the Energy Chew and has the appearance of a tiny blue-colored thunderbolt. Exclusive to the event rewards, you might wonder what the use of this tiny gear is. Here is a comprehensive guide on everything you need to know about the Energy Chew in Grow a Garden, including its obtainment process and uses.
How to Get Energy Chew in Grow a Garden
The Energy Chew can only be obtained from the Chubby chipmunk event reward track. Hence, the only way is to wait for your Chubby Chipmunk pet to grow. If you don’t have this pet already, get it for free from the Free Chipmunk banner on the right of the Nuts NPC at the center of the event area.
Once you’ve got the pet, place it in your garden, and it will keep growing in size automatically due to its cool passive. The Chubby chipmunk can eat a plant at regular intervals to gain weight and spawn Acorns. If this trait cooldown seems a lot for you, try speeding up the process by starting the Nutty Fever event, reducing the Chipmunk trait cooldown by a massive amount.
Here are all the weights that your Chubby Chipmunk must achieve to get the Energy Chew gear from the reward track:
- 2.15 kg: 5th Reward
- 13.65 kg: 9th Reward
- 36.48 kg: 12th Reward
How to Use Energy Chew in Grow a Garden
The Energy Chew has a very simple use in Grow a Garden – reducing the cooldown of your pet. Using this gear is easy, and you can follow the steps below:
- Open your backpack and search for the Energy Chew gear.
- Equip the item in your hand and go near the pet that you want to test this on.
- Click the left-mouse button while pointing at the pet, and you’re done.
This will reduce the cooldown of the pet and activate its passive trait instantly. Mutated pets benefit more from this item than normal ones.
Is It Worth Getting the Energy Chew in Grow a Garden?
As of now, it is not really worth getting the Energy Chew in Grow a Garden, since firstly, it’s a one-time use gear, and secondly, the pet’s trait will be activated once as well.
Since the gear is available on the rewards track, it’s recommended that you focus on items that bring better value. Grind the event for receiving more Nutty Chests, pets, seeds, and cosmetics instead of the Energy Chew, and you will be good to go.
That is all about the Energy Chew in Grow a Garden, stating an easy way to get it and what it can be used for in the game. So, have you checked out all the new seeds in the Chubby Chipmunk update yet? Let us know in the comments below.
