Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers Baseball Club and Energy Transfer have extended their multi-year partnership, positioning the energy company as the Rangers’ official jersey patch partner through at least the end of the decade.
Energy Transfer, one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in the U.S. based in Dallas, has been associated with the Rangers since May 2018, when it made a significant commitment to endowing the programs and operations of the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy at Mercy Street Sports Complex presented by Toyota in West Dallas.
As part of the extended partnership agreement, the Rangers and Energy Transfer will continue to grow their commitment to Dallas communities. The extended agreement also includes an initiative with the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation to refurbish baseball fields or public parks across Dallas. One renovation site will be selected annually beginning in 2027. This long-term commitment creates safe and vibrant spaces for families, ensuring future generations have access to fields and parks where baseball and softball can continue to grow.
Also beginning in 2027, the Rangers and Energy Transfer, in partnership with Medical City Healthcare, will donate co-branded baby jerseys to newborns at hospitals across Dallas County. Energy Transfer and Rangers employees will also have the opportunity to volunteer and personally take part in delivering the jerseys, highlighting a shared commitment to supporting Dallas families at one of life’s most memorable milestones.
“Energy Transfer is pleased to continue as the official jersey patch partner of the Texas Rangers,” said Vicki Granado, Energy Transfer’s Vice President of Corporate Communications. “We are also proud to extend our relationship beyond the ballpark as we look forward to playing a role in helping create unforgettable memories in our Dallas community.”
“The Texas Rangers are proud to extend our partnership with Energy Transfer that pairs visibility with deep community impact,” said Rangers Chief Business Officer Jim Cochrane. “Our shared vision for serving the community in our own backyard and inspiring future generations will help make a lasting impact beyond the field.”
Today, 26 of 30 MLB teams have a jersey patch partner. Since its inception, the Energy Transfer patch has been seen on every Rangers player jersey, all in-ballpark jersey sales, across regional and national broadcasts, as well as team, league, and independent social/digital channels.
Energy Transfer specializes in the transportation, storage and terminalling of natural gas, natural gas liquids, crude oil and refined products. Since its founding in Dallas in 1996, the company has made itself into one of the largest energy infrastructure companies with more than 140,000 miles of pipelines and related assets traversing 44 states, more than any other U.S. midstream company, and international offices in Beijing and Panama City, Panama.
